09/11/2012 Oscars Threshing

Hello there: Well, the wheat got cut, bound and loaded at Ken Dahlstadís farm off the Pulver Road, Burlington. No accidents or health issues with a good group of volunteers. Yes, it was warm but a good evening breeze  kept us cooler.  Five wagons and a truck were loaded. Photos may been seen on the club web site  This is a reminder of the threshing to be done this Saturday, August 18 at the Oscar and Nels Lagerlund farm on the Green Road. If you have not attended before take the Cook Road exit and head east crossing the RR tracks and you find the Green Road. The weather should be good with no rain and temperatures cooler. We hope to see you there!

09/11/2012 Binding and Threshing

Hello: Itís time for Oscars binding and Bellville threshing event scheduled for this week!

Cutting, Binding and Loading: Tom Jensen says that we plan to cut and load grain on Wednesday afternoon(Aug. 15). The field is located this year on Pulver Road, south of Highway 20. The wheat field belongs to Ken Dahlstad and is across from Farmers Equipment.† The equipment will be moved in the morning after traffic rush, with binding after lunch with plan to load trailers in late afternoon to move back to Cook Road after evening rush. We need help to load wagons so give Tom Jensen a call at 661-0634

Threshing: The threshing will be this Saturday, August 18 on the Green Road. This is the same field as last year only to the west of the corn. The equipment will be set up between Cook Road and Nels barn. †This is a special event with antique John Deeres, cars, trucks and people! Lots of old time threshing knowledge to be passed on to the young.

Itís more fun to get involved so come out, help, and stay safe and sane!
